My birthday is in a couple of weeks and to celebrate, we are going to my very favorite restaurant. It’s in the Russian River valley so we can’t drive up and back for dinner which means we are staying the night. Considering husband is taking a day off work so we can go wine tasting and hiking, I didn’t want to leave Miles with his grandparents and miss the chance to spend time as a family. The solution? My parents are coming with us. We got them a hotel room next door to ours and Miles will stay with them. We get the best of both, time with our boy and a fancy dinner with no early wake up call. To say I am excited is a bit of an understatement. Husband just sent me the reservation confirmation and I am practically bouncing off the walls thinking about wine tasting, delicious food, beautiful vistas and lots and lots of time with my favorite people.
