I am really not looking forward to any interactions with other moms.
I’d like to make friends with other moms since I stay at home during the week and I have a lot of time on my hands. I don’t have many friends locally to begin with and the ones I do have all work during the week so I don’t get to see them much. I joined a playgroup when Miles was a few months old but that fell apart once the holidays hit and people got busy. I’m checking out a couple of co-ops to see if they might be a better fit. I wouldn’t be so persistent with it except that Miles loves to be around other kids. Today, he started crying when I put him in his stroller because he didn’t want to stop staring at the toddler in her swing. I don’t mind hanging out with other moms that I’m not friends with so Miles can have all the social interaction he would like, I just need to find something that works on a consistent basis and where I can manage to talk to people about something other than Santa and runny noses.
