i’m intrigued - off to google co-ops

I’m not sure if they all work the same but the few in this area all are run similarly. They are from 6 months (or so) to 3 yrs (or so) and the babies go 1 day a week and the toddlers go two. For Miles, I’d take him one day a week for 2 hrs and I’d stay with him. I would be assigned some sort of job at the school that would require about 10 hrs a semester and would have one day a year that I would have to help clean the school. I could get out of both of these by paying an extra fee. While Miles is there, I would help run groups and supervise the kids. They generally have a couple of teachers for roughly 20 kids but each kid has their parent there, too. There is a fee on top of a time commitment but it is less than I am going to pay for his swim classes so it’s not too bad. They have a curriculum they follow and each class is divided into an age group of roughly 6 months so Miles would be in a 8-13 month group. It’s totally out of my comfort zone but so is having a baby that likes to throw tantrums when he gets bored so I figured I would give it a shot.

*Tangent* I talked to a few different co-ops and preschools at a preschool info session last night and did you know that, in this area, preschools charge up to 15K a year for 6 hrs a week? That is just ridiculous and I’ve decided Miles is going to watch Sesame Street and skip straight to kindergarten because I am not paying that much money.
