I feel like reading one of the insane fantasy novels I loved in eighth grade, so that’s what I’m probably going to end up staying up all night doing. My copy has been read and reread so many times that both covers are coming off. Also, it is my second copy because the…

I also love these books and have read her dragon prince/star series too many times to count. Exiles was great, too, but I don’t like to reread it because I just get disappointed all over again that the third book is most likely never going to happen. Between that and Robert Jordan dying before his series was finished, I am reluctant to start an incomplete series and that is why I’m not reading a Song of Ice and Fire. He takes forever to write a book and I just can’t handle the possibility that it might never get finished.

Did you read the Brandon Sanderson continuation of WoT?  I like them better than the last half-dozen WoT books Jordan wrote— the plot moved along and there were no five-page descriptions of the uniforms of the Tairen embassy.  And you really should read ASOIAF, just because it’s such great world-building.  The thing about it is that even though he might kick it before the series finishes, it’s been so well-done thus far that I wouldn’t be heartbroken.

Though if it ended now, it would be a cliffhanger akin to that at the end of the second Ambrai book.

I have and I agree that Sanderson’s have been better than the last handful that Jordan wrote. My god some of those books got hard to get through. I like Sanderson and have also read all his stuff now even though he likes to get wordy too.

But seriously, what happened to Collan?!?! I can’t handle that cliff hanger! Couldn’t she at least tell us so we don’t have to wonder. I don’t need the whole book if it’s not something she wants to do but I do need to know that.
