10 facts because it’s more interesting than cloth diapers
1. When I was 16, I went to Israel with 80 other teenagers and loved it. However, my best friend and I at the time were totally naive and had no idea what was going on and only recently we’ve found out about all the shenanigans our friends got up to without us noticing.
2. My HS best friend and I got into a huge fight over a movie our senior year. It was a movie based on a book we both really liked and they had changed the ending. I thought it ruined the story and she thought it was fine and we argued about it until we stopped talking to each other for a couple of days. We still can’t talk about it.
3. The same best friend and I went to Europe after high school together. We traveled with her aunt and it was amazing. The part that stands out, though, is that while I was in London I actually felt pretty. High school was rough and being on steroids my entire senior year, with all the lovely side effects that go with it, did not make it any easier.
4. I feel really guilty about how much less attention Red gets now that Miles is around.
5. Making Miles laugh is my favorite activity. On the flip side, not being able to calm him down when he is crying is the ]ost frustrating thing I’ve ever experienced.
6. I love the beach and don’t get there nearly enough which is ridiculous considering I live 25 minutes away from it. The cold usually deters me.
7. I love to read. I always have a few books going at a time and I think that being able to check out ebooks from the library rates as one of my favorite things about 2011.
8. I studied abroad in Scotland and it was the best 3 months of my life. I would move to Edinburgh in an instant even though I hate the cold because of what it does to my joints.
9. One of my goals for 2012 is to convince husband to take a vacation. We haven’t been on one since 2008.
10. I found out that my open mind in regards to religion only goes so far. Husband’s friend is dating a girl who doesn’t believe in evolution and I think she is batshit insane and totally wrong. I have no idea how someone can believe that. I need to work on being more open and less judgmental before I meet her.
