I just finished Pandemonium and did not like it as much as Delirium. We have a houseguest staying with us and I’ve decided that means he needs at least a couple of home cooked meals. On Saturday I made salt and vinegar potatoes and chicken florentine. Tonight I’m making brined short ribs and risotto which is one of my favorite meals. I love having an excuse to cook something a bit fancier than I normally would.

Thank you! I take up about a third of it and I feel like I need a crane to get up. This is much more a husband sized couch but I do love feeling so cozy while I relax while the baby sleeps.

Oh not juice juice. It’s those happy baby or plum organic pouches (that have blends of veg/fruits). I just give them directly to her and she sucks the stuff out. That’s how we tricked her. I don’t want to give her juice juice for awhile :)

We tricked E. Gave her a pouch that she eagerly sucks down. Then did a quick swap & she sucked it the same. Does M like juice pouches? There are straw cups that you squeeze to help baby get the stuff out but I found the squeezing to be hard. Heehee

How did you get your kid to use a sippy cup/straw cup? Miles doesn’t even like to hold his own bottle most of the time. He knows how to use a sippy cup but most of the time he just cries when I give it to him and he has no idea what to do with a straw. The only thing that I can get him to use on a regular basis, other than his bottle, is a regular cup. He LOVES drinking out of a cup....

Both Miles and I woke up with a cold this morning. I think the thing I miss most about not having a baby is being able to lay around and do nothing but drink tea and watch bad TV when I didn’t feel good. Miles isn’t really into tea or bad TV yet, so it’s like a normal day except with more tissues involved.

The only kind of salad I want to eat is one with chicken strips on top. Or bacon. One of my favorite salads has tons of bacon, onions sauteed in bacon grease and a soft boiled egg. I don’t know if it even counts as a healthy option at that point, more like a way to make spinach taste nothing like spinach.
