I would have died from laughter if someone had. It was normal mom stuff and mostly trying to make sure the babies didn’t hit each other or pull toys down on their heads.

The easy to clean part definitely figured into our decision. As did the fact that Miles can stand on it and throw himself back, like a trust fall except no one is there to catch him, and not fall off if we don’t grab him in time....

manhattan preschools are 23-25k a year for the same number of hrs- absolutely ridiculous!!
That is totally crazy! That isn’t much less than what I paid to go to college which is just ridiculous.

Miles is asleep and I managed to get a good chunk of my to do list done and I’m debating about whether to start a book. He seems to have a sixth sense and as soon as I get more than a paragraph or two into a book, he wakes up. Maybe if I don’t pick up my kindle he will stay asleep? Tomorrow we leave for what was supposed to be a fun weekend in the snow but we haven’t had snow since Thanksgiving. A part of me is very disappointed, watching Red in the snow is one of my life’s great pleasures, but most of me is just excited for a weekend away with my family.

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now and my list comes down to a few basic things.
Make Miles laugh more.
Have more patience with my family.
Focus on the good in my life and stop getting stressed out about every little thing that doesn’t go according to my plans.

Today was rough and stressful and left me disappointed with my self and my lack of patience. I wanted to sit and cry and feel sorry for myself. Instead, I kissed my baby goodnight and made my go to dinner for when I need to relax, risotto with fried sage and roasted squash. It was absolutely delicious, the best I’ve ever made, and just what I needed to let the stresses of the day fade away....
